Joy of singing aids people with Parkinson’s

At Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, there’s a new choir in town. It offers people with Parkinson’s disease tools to cope, including music and community.

Songs spark spiritual conversations at brew pub

Once a month, a United Methodist pastor hires a songwriter for an evening of music and contemplation at Singin’ River Brewing Co. in Florence, Alabama. Those discussions get deep sometimes.

New attention for old hymn texts

Scholar Ted Campbell has edited a book for devotional reading of early Methodist hymns. Each of the 126 hymn texts is followed by a short commentary from Campbell.

Christmas single inspired by kids’ pageant

A Middle Tennessee church holiday pageant inspired a lighthearted Christmas single from singer-songwriter Amy Speace. It’s called “First United Methodist Day Care Christmas Show.”
