Urging a stronger Middle East response

The response of The United Methodist Church to the hostilities in the Middle East was characterized as “very weak and timid” during the joint meeting of the boards of United Methodist Global Ministries and Higher Education and Ministry.

United Methodists killed in Congo attack

According to the superintendent of the Beni District, a faithful United Methodist woman and two of her children were among at least 13 people killed during the latest violence in the village of Komanda in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Ituri province.
