Church helps survivors of fire in Congo

The United Methodist Church has provided food and other supplies to 5,000 survivors of two fires that ravaged a camp for displaced people.

Flooding in the Masai and Morogoro districts affected over 6,300 people, including 300 members of The United Methodist Church. A local United Methodist congregation lost their temporary church.

Mexican Methodists respond to climate crisis

Hurricane Otis devastated Acapulco and surrounding communities on Oct. 25. The disaster is just the latest example of how the climate crisis is pushing congregations throughout Mexico to respond to new pastoral challenges.

United Methodists help cyclone survivors rebuild

With a $50,000 grant from the United Methodist Committee on Relief, the Malawi Provisional Conference is supporting communities affected by Cyclone Freddy. The church is providing agricultural training and equipment and helping reconstruct community infrastructure.
