Pananaw workshop teaches critical thinking for Filipino Youth

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship in the Philippines (UMYFP) recently conducted a “Pananaw” (Filipino term for ‘perspectives’) workshop is a three-day program centered on media literacy with focus on social media.
Disaster Relief
The College of Allied Medical Sciences at United Methodist-related Wesleyan University-Philippines spearheaded a Vegetable Rescue Program which has already saved 24,250 pounds of fresh produce. By buying vegetables that might be not be used, the program supports local farmers affected by El Niño and also supplies communities around the university with fresh food. College students enlist in U.M. ARMY

More than 80 college students from Texas and Louisiana came together in the Texas Hill Country for a week of mission work and fellowship through College U.M. ARMY. The event featured projects such as the construction of accessibility ramps and repair work on homes damaged by a recent tornado.
