Try a little kindness this holiday season

Two chance encounters led Bishop David Alan Bard to reflect on the need for kindness during the Christmas season. “ ... might our Advent be a journey into kinder hearts and a recommitment to living with greater kindness, gentleness, tenderness and love?” Bard writes.

Sewing machine collection surpasses goal

An effort to collect 50 sewing machines to help disadvantaged people make a living has exceeded its goal. The Rev. Randy Koppen of Bethlehem United Methodist challenged the church’s quilting group to take on the project.

Bringing light to Ukraine

Members of United Church of Two Harbors, which is associated with both The United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church, are getting solar light kits to Ukraine, where the war has resulted in many electric grids being destroyed.

Supplies going to Haiti, Ukraine

Nearly 11,000 pounds of supplies were collected by 23 United Methodist churches with supplies going to UMCOR which will distribute them in Haiti, Ukraine and to parts of the U.S. to assist with Hurricane Ian relief.
