On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, United Methodists from across the Tennessee-Western Kentucky and Holston Conferences traveled to Nashville for United Methodist Day on the Hill, hosted by the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Board of Church and Society. Participants spent the day meeting with lawmakers from their own districts. Attendees also delivered a copy of the United Methodist Social Principles to each member of the Tennessee General Assembly in those meetings. UM News reporter Lilla Marigza was there.
Following the day of advocacy, participants were encouraged to write thank-you notes to state legislators and learn more about how current and future legislation aligns with United Methodist Social Principles.
