Zimbabwe circuit offers model for evangelism, growth

Magamba Circuit is steadily attracting new members through preaching, crusades and door-to-door evangelism combined with practical outreach such as providing food and clothing to people in need.

Pastors and lay leaders gathered Aug. 2-5 for the RISE UP conference, a biennial event to help equip clergy and lay leaders to plant, revitalize and innovate local churches.

Embracing role-playing games at church

Once a scourge to conservative Christians, Dungeons & Dragons and other role-playing games are now sometimes hosted at United Methodist churches, where players say the games can reinforce things they learn in church.
