MUTOKO, Zimbabwe (UMNS) — The Zimbabwe Episcopal Area is teaching church members to play new musical instruments and hone their talents. The goal is to enrich worship services and attract new members, especially young people. Eveline Chikwanah has the story.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — As the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s driver for two years, Freddie A. Brown Sr. once saved the life of the civil rights leader. Seminary to continue educating United Methodist clergy

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. — Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University was approved by the University Senate of The United Methodist Church as a non-Methodist seminary for the training of United Methodist candidates for ordination, announced David Bronkema, dean of the seminary.

Ways to follow what’s happening at GC2019

ST. LOUIS (UMC.org) — United Methodist Communications will be livestreaming proceedings at the special General Conference in English, French and American Sign Language. The stream at umc.org/live will include all open sessions when the lawmaking assembly meets Feb. 23-26. Visual learners also can view a chart that offers an overview of four main plans under consideration.
