The United Methodist pastor is traveling the state in his bid to become a U.S. senator. He’s trying to build a bipartisan base like the one he has enjoyed at Church of the Resurrection for 36 years.
The Rev. Adam Hamilton, founding pastor of the largest United Methodist congregation in the U.S., announced April 30 that he will run for U.S. Senate, and he will do so as a Democrat.
Although LifeBridge and Monticello United Methodist churches share a sanctuary, education programs and mission outreach, they remain two different congregations. The Rev. Matt Ozment says they are looking for ways to invite the outside community into their loving church community.
