Nigeria bishop leaves United Methodist Church

Bishop John Wesley Yohanna has joined a new Methodist denomination, and the Council of Bishops will name interim leadership for The United Methodist Church in Nigeria.

How North Central Jurisdiction handles assignments

Like its fellow jurisdictions, the North Central Jurisdiction used an innovative approach in its bishop assignments.

US sees big changes in bishop assignments

In a history-making development, two United Methodist bishops will lead conferences across jurisdictional lines. The change results from unprecedented levels of collaboration among jurisdictional leaders.

Sandra K. Olewine elected as bishop

Western Jurisdiction delegates elected the assistant to the bishop in the California-Pacific Conference to the episcopacy on the 17th ballot.
